OCTA participates in the 2024 Tet Fair organized by the city of Westminster at Mile Square Park. Businessman Tam Nguyen, a Vietnamese American, was honored to be elected Chairman of OCTA, Orange County Transportation Authority, managing billions of USA budgets each year for transportation activities of 10 cities.
OCTA's upcoming strategy is aimed at providing solutions to eliminate driving alone and replace it with other means of transportation; regenerating the transportation system based on sustainability, efficiency, and convenience.
According to OCTA, by 2045, population and employment in Orange County are expected to grow rapidly by 9% and 12%, leading to more vehicles on the road. Without providing convenient alternatives, this growth will inevitably increase travel demand and traffic congestion, affecting quality of life and public health.
OCTA really needs the cooperation, contribution and support of the Vietnamese community to together make the transportation industry in Orange County develop even stronger.
